Hi, I am Drishti

I'm a textile designer turned aspiring Project Manager, bringing years of creative and technical experience in fashion to the world of structured execution. From sketching concepts to managing CAD workflows and seeing products through to production, I've always been the person who keeps the process moving — now I'm making that official.

Currently completing my CAPM certification, I'm channeling my design background into PM roles within fashion and apparel, where I can bridge the gap between creative teams and operational timelines. Based in Vancouver, I'm drawn to brands where design thinking and project rigor go hand in hand.

My Story

Some people discover textiles. I grew up inside them.

Raised in Mumbai, India, with a maternal grandfather who still runs a traditional fabric manufacturing unit in the heart of the old city, my relationship with cloth, craft, and process began long before my formal training. That deep-rooted connection led me to NIFT Gandhinagar — one of India's most prestigious design institutions — where I turned instinct into expertise.

Over the next several years, I built a career that took my work to the shelves of global brands including Crate & Barrel, Anthropologie, Emma Bridgewater, TJX and many others. From hand illustration and trend forecasting to CAD development, vendor coordination, and full collection builds, I learned to hold the entire design-to-delivery process in my hands.

And that process — the mapping, the sequencing, the turning of a creative vision into a tangible, on-time result — is what I loved most.

Now based in Vancouver, I'm channeling that passion into Project Management, pursuing my CAPM certification and bringing my rare combination of creative fluency and operational instinct to fashion and apparel teams who need someone who speaks both languages. My pivot isn't a departure from design. It's the next layer of it.

I'm Drishti Daftary — textile designer, emerging project manager, and someone who has always cared just as much about how something gets made as what it looks like.
